In New Hampshire the Blue Jay is one of our more colorful native birds. And their feathers can be spotted easily against the warm earthtones upon which they lay. They are agressive birds and quite noisy, driving other birds away from feeders and other food sources. Still, they are impressive and a welcome site in my neck of the woods.
