Shopping — Moving north was in some ways a real culture shock for me. I was used to the MegaSuperGiganta shopping environments where your could get a 5 mile walk in and do your shopping simultaneously. When I moved to Ossipee and entered this particular grocery store for the first time, it felt like I had time traveled back about 30 years. In the days since I've adjusted and have even grown to liking it. It sure beats the rat race environment I lived in only a few short months ago. Of course, I can be reminded of it on any given Friday or Sunday evening just by heading out onto route 16 to witness all the tourists speeding to and from their rat race out of state lives.
