Backyard scene — I generally try to keep the integrity of an image I've photographed as close to the original as possible, occasionally adjusting levels, a little dodging and burning now and then, and perhaps some simple color correction. But there are those times, admittedly seldom, where I may convert an image to a sepia tone, or in this case actually use a photoshop filter (said with fingers showing the sign of the cross and making hissing sounds). The effect I used here is from a 'NIK' filter called 'duplex color'. I really like it, although I don't expect to use it very often if ever again. Of course that remains to be seen. You can view the original by mousing over the image.
