29 inches to ruin — last weekend I sat my camera on my office desk, and as I walked away it somehow fell to the floor (have no clue why). It wasn't until today that I realized the damage that had occurred. My camera body seems to have survived unscathed but my 12-24mm lens which was attached (a $900+ lens) did not. It is usable, but with some autofocus functionality limitations. I am truly depressed... so depressed in fact that I couldn't even muster up the energy to go out and photograph in today's beautiful sunshine.
