Private rail — While traveling Route 93 south through Concord yesterday, I noticed a long line of train cars parked on the rails which run along side the highway. Today, I decided to take a ride back to get a closer look. Upon arriving, there were several people standing around outside the train cars talking and an older gentleman by the name of John Clement (pictured above) sitting on the back deck of one of the cars. I approached him and asked why this train with all these cars were here. It turns out the cars are all individually owned by train enthusiasts who purchased and refurbished them. Several times a year they ride the rails from Tilton to Concord, or to Lincoln, New Hampshire. Mr. Clement was kind enough to let me tour his car and take his photograph.
