Chasing the train — If one wanted to, one could chase the Wilton Scenic from Wilton to its destination, Greenfield State Park, then back to Wilton. On its early excursions, there were many who did just this, with camera pointed, ready to shoot at the first sign of the approaching train.

I have to admit, it's tempting and perhaps I'll give it a whirl someday. But for the sake of these photographs, I had a short chase from Wilton to South Lyndeborough, attempting to capture the train as it rolled over trestles and crossed roads.
