The Loon— I got lucky on a visit to Chocorua Lake this week as I was permitted to photograph one of New Hampshire's most revered and illusive aquatic birds, the Loon. Rarely have I seen and heard these birds in the wild and on this occasion a family of Loons paddled their way past me allowing just enough time to capture several photograph before they headed across the lake.
