| Road trip — through the White Mountains. A visit to see friends in Gorham on Saturday turned into a relaxing day of driving around with them through some of the most beautiful areas of New Hampshire. After stopping for a bite to eat at the "WaterWheel Breakfast House" in Jefferson, we headed toward Whitefield to visit the Mountain View Grand. Apparently there was a Hummer Convention going on. I've never seen so many in one place. Then onto Bethlehem where we, quite by accident, found the old Maplewood Train Depot. We confirmed our discovery at a local Antique shop in town. Heading east on our way back, we stopped in at the Mount Washington Hotel. And a visit to the site of The Willey Slide (sorry, no pictures) before returning to Gorham. Whew! On Sunday, Attrezzi. More tomorrow. |
