A house in the woods — on Sandwich Notch Road. Yes, that is the road you see in this photograph, not a driveway. Sandwich Notch Road in the White Mountain National Forest connects Center Sandwich to Waterville Valley, aproximately 6 miles in length. I took the drive last week for the first time. What beautiful country! Some might call it banjo country, and yes, the soundtrack from "Deliverance" was playing in my head as I took the drive. Fortunately it wasn't a concern. I did however come upon several large shiny SUVs and Pick-up trucks barreling down this narrow one lane road. I suspect they were tourists.
