Canoe photo review — A couple weeks ago I went on a photo assignment at Canoe Restaurant in Center Harbor, New Hampshire to cover an article being written for NHToDo magazine. This is the first time I've been to Canoe and I didn't know what to expect. I did however hear good things about it from my parents who have eaten there on at least two occasions. My assignment involved getting some ambient shots of the restaurants dining area, and photograph their well known 'lobster, mac and cheese' special.

After speaking with executive chef and owner Scott Ouellette, we arranged to have several of their entree's prepared along with getting a couple people to sit in for the dinner shot. While preparations were being made, Scott gave me a tour of his restaurant as I captured a few photographs of the place. When we returned to the dining area, two of the staff (pictured above) sat in for the shot.

I came away with plenty of photographs for NHTodo magazine to choose from, posting two images here that weren't chosen for the issue. Although I didn't get to taste any of the props myself, it all smelled great. I must return to try their infamous 'lobster, mac and cheese' dish one day soon.
